This injection molded part is high strength and UV stabilized to provide value and durability. The check ball contained inside the cockpit scupper drain is molded and then ground smooth and round to provide better sealing against reverse water flow that occurs when backing boat. The leaf guard model has raised ribs on head to prevent debris (leaves, scales, etc.) from clogging holes. The overall diameter of the mounting flange is 3 9\/16 Inch. The cockpit scupper drain requires a 2 1\/2 Inch diameter hole for installation and mounts with four (4) number 8 screws (not furnished). Top of cockpit scupper drain is removable for cleaning.
