The Amp Research BedStep is the perfect tailgate step. It is an ingeniously designed, heavy duty truck tailgate step and will fit most trucks in the industry. They are made for people who use their truck like a truck! And the best part is these steps are made to retract with a gentle nudge when finished. Yep you're not mistaken and are witnessing a retracting step that is easy to use and won't break the bank. Whether you're a construction worker trying to grasp hard to reach tools, a parent with kids who seem to live in your truck bed or just an average Joe. You'll find many practical uses for this simplistic bed step from Amp Research. The linkage system is made out of die-cast aluminum, and will hold up to 300 Pound The retraction pivot points are composed of stainless steel pins which swing up or down with ease, while offering heavy duty support. As you can see in the images above, the Amp Research BedStep comes with a non-slip step pad. It is made out of durable and glass reinforced composite, which assists in a safe step up. Simply kick the step down with a gentle nudge of a toe and whether the tailgate is open or not, you've got the boost needed for a comfortably and safe stepping experience. When your truck bed trip is complete and you're ready to step down, simply flip the pad up into its retracted place and go about your business. No bending over. No tracks to roll, no nothing! The best part - you'll hardly notice the step is there.

Returns & Cancellations
In-Stock Items
- Cancel before shipment; once shipped, standard return policy applies.
- 20% restocking fee, excluding oversize item. Both way shipping is customer responsibility under store error.
Backorders / Special Orders
- 5% restocking fee applies if canceled within 30 days.
- Non-cancellable once shipped from the manufacturer.
- Refused Deliveries: Refund minus shipping & restocking fees (excludes special orders).
- Payment Disputes: Chargebacks do not cancel orders — please contact us directly.
