Overview

Take your 2020-2026 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 HD 4WD to the next level by installing this 6.5-inch lift kit by BDS Suspension. For maximum ground clearance, BDS designed a No-Torsion Bar Drop System, where the torsion bars are mounted directly to the top of the lower a-arm, eliminating the need to drop the torsion bar cross-member. Designed to improve the stance, performance, and capability this kit includes everything necessary to set your truck up right with clearance for up to 38" tires.

This kit leverages BDS's proven high-clearance design for enhanced ground clearance, strength, and off-road protection, while also correcting suspension and steering geometry for superior on-road handling characteristics. Up front, the kit utilizes torsion bar relocation brackets, high-arched 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers, along with a multipiece differential relocation bracket and heavy-duty skid plates built for off-road protection. Steering geometry is corrected at the new taller ride height with CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles. These, combined with the provided sway bar drops, stainless steel brake lines, supplied hardware, and more, provide a comprehensive front suspension lift ready for whatever you throw at it.

In the rear, BDS offers replacement lift blocks and U-bolts to lift and level the stance. The lift block installs in place of the stock block and retains ride quality and load capacity. Also included are BDS supplies, which provide brake line and ABS line relocation brackets, allowing the use of factory brake lines. Lastly, there is a matching set of NX2 Nitro or FOX 2.0 Performance Series shocks.

Important Notes

1. For DRW models, use the w/ overload rear lift option
2. Requires frame bracket modification.
3. Torsion Bar Tool required to load/unload torsion bars, The GM specified tool is #CH48809.
4. Models with two-piece rear driveshafts will require a carrier bearing drop kit.
5. Factory 17-18" wheels cannot be reinstalled due to tie rod end interference, stock 20" wheels can be reinstalled with up to a 35x12.50 tire.
6. In some cases vehicles used in 4WD on the highway regularly could potentially experience a minor front driveline vibration. If this occurs we recommend replacing the front driveshaft with a dual Cardan style driveshaft.
7. Do not install this suspension system in conjunction with any type of torsion bar lift keys to achieve more that tested 6.5" lift height.
8. Some minor trim will be required with certain wheel/tire combination. This is normal with most aftermarket tire/wheel fitment on Chevy/GM trucks. Trimming will normally included the bottom edge of the inner fender shrouds and/or lower corner of front bumper valance. As a rule of thumb, deeper backspacing and shorter/narrower tires will reduce/eliminate trimming required.
9. Will NOT work with AT4X or ZR2 models, lower control arm profile is different
10. When combining the Recoil traction bars (BDS2300) with a 6.5” suspension lift kit and your truck does NOT have a top mounted overload (BDS753 kit variants), 15.5” long U-bolts are provided. Longer U-bolts will be needed to install the traction bars. Please purchase UBT4200 (X4) to mount the traction bars to your vehicle.
