Custom Flow CF-INSERT-2 Fifth-Wheel Tailgate Insert

CF-INSERT-2 fills the centre opening of compatible Custom Flow fifth-wheel V-Gate tailgates. This black powder-coated steel insert is an accessory for the listed tailgate models, rather than a replacement tailgate or a universal truck-body panel.

Product Description

A fifth-wheel tailgate leaves an opening for hitching access. When that opening is not needed, this insert closes the centre area and can complement a compatible bed-cover arrangement.

Select by the installed Custom Flow tailgate model, not the truck name alone. Existing application information identifies V-EL17, V-EL19, V-EL28, V-EL37 and V-EL39. Confirm both the tailgate and any bed-cover clearance before purchase.

Features & Benefits

  • Steel construction with a black powder-coated finish.
  • Fills the fifth-wheel opening in compatible V-Gate tailgates.
  • Accessory insert keeps an existing compatible tailgate in service.
  • Model-specific selection avoids assuming every V-shaped opening is identical.

Compatibility & Applications

  • For Custom Flow tailgate models V-EL17, V-EL19, V-EL28, V-EL37 and V-EL39.
  • Verify the installed tailgate model and mounting arrangement.
  • A compatible bed cover is separate; this insert alone is not a complete weather-sealed bed enclosure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this a complete tailgate?

A: No. CF-INSERT-2 is an insert for the centre opening of compatible Custom Flow fifth-wheel tailgates.

Q: Which tailgate models are listed?

A: The existing application list includes V-EL17, V-EL19, V-EL28, V-EL37 and V-EL39. Match the installed tailgate model before ordering.

Q: What is the finish?

A: It is black powder-coated steel.

Q: Will it fit any fifth-wheel tailgate?

A: No universal compatibility is established. The tailgate model and mounting arrangement must match.

Q: Does it include a bed cover?

A: No. Any tonneau or other bed cover is a separate product whose fit and clearance need to be checked.

Q: Can the fifth-wheel opening still be used?

A: The insert occupies that opening. Follow the tailgate instructions and remove or reposition the insert as required for hitch access.

Key Points & Helpful Resources

Locate the model identification on your existing Custom Flow tailgate before selecting an insert. Truck make and year alone do not identify the opening and attachment points.

Why Choose This Product?

This accessory addresses the open centre of an existing compatible V-Gate without requiring purchase of another complete tailgate.

Ideal For

  • Owners of the specifically listed Custom Flow V-Gate models.
  • A compatible tailgate and bed-cover arrangement needing its centre opening filled.
