GEN-Y GH-307 MEGA-DUTY Adjustable Receiver — 2" Shank, 15" Drop

GEN-Y GH-307 is the MEGA-DUTY 10K configuration for a 2" receiver, with 15" drop and 7 adjustable positions. This selection has adjustable receiver only; ball mount and pintle lock are not included. Check the actual receiver connection, required coupling height and all component ratings before ordering.

Product Description

Choose GH-307 by its complete configuration rather than the MEGA-DUTY family name alone. The selected 15" drop and 7-position arrangement determine the adjustment available, while the 2" shank must match the vehicle receiver.

This is the adjustable receiver portion of the system, intended for a buyer selecting the compatible attachment separately. A product-family image showing a hitch ball or pintle arrangement is not a packing list for this receiver-only selection.

Height adjustment lets you position a compatible attachment to suit the trailer connection. Match the coupling type and the required height before considering the maximum family rating; the lowest rated component in the complete setup governs the load you may use.

Features & Benefits

  • Exact receiver size: 2" shank for a compatible vehicle receiver.
  • Selected adjustment: 15" Drop with 7 positions.
  • Pin-adjustable design: Reposition the compatible attachment and resecure the specified pin before towing.
  • Receiver-only selection: Lets you choose a compatible attachment separately; no ball mount or pintle lock is included.

Compatibility & Applications

  • For a compatible 2" vehicle receiver; verify the pin holes, retention arrangement and surrounding clearance.
  • 15" Drop identifies this selected configuration. Confirm the coupling-height requirement before choosing among the other MEGA-DUTY variants.
  • Never exceed the vehicle, receiver, hitch, attachment or trailer-coupling rating. A larger hitch rating does not raise the vehicle rating.
  • GEN-Y states this family is not rated for winching. For flat towing it limits drop or rise to 7½ inches; check the intended setup directly with the manufacturer.
  • GEN-Y recommends a stabilizer kit for 12½- to 15-inch drop configurations. Plan that separately; this selected package does not establish that it is included.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What exactly is the GH-307 configuration?

A: The exact manufacturer variant identifies a 2" receiver shank, 15" drop, 7 adjustable positions and the package selection: adjustable receiver only.

Q: Is a ball mount included?

A: No. This is the adjustable-receiver-only selection. Choose a compatible attachment separately.

Q: Is a pintle lock included?

A: No. The exact manufacturer selection does not include a pintle lock. Do not assume the accessories pictured across the family are supplied with every part number.

Q: How is the height adjusted?

A: With the setup safely unloaded, remove the pin, reposition the compatible attachment, reinstall the correct pin and secure the retention device. Follow the complete manufacturer instructions.

Q: Can I use it for winching?

A: No. GEN-Y’s current product notices state that the product is not rated for winching.

Q: Can I use every height position for flat towing?

A: No. GEN-Y limits drop or rise to 7½ inches for flat towing. A larger available drop does not remove that restriction; confirm the intended setup with the manufacturer.

Q: Should I plan for a stabilizer kit?

A: GEN-Y recommends a stabilizer kit for 12½- to 15-inch drop configurations. Check the manufacturer’s requirement for the actual installation; do not assume it is included in this selected package.

Key Points & Helpful Resources

  • Use the exact GH-307 selection: 15" Drop (7 Adjustable Positions) / Adjustable Receiver Only.
  • Compare the supplied attachment package as well as the adjustment range when choosing between model numbers.

Why Choose This Product?

A receiver-only configuration suits a buyer who needs the adjustable base and is deliberately selecting the attachment separately. Checking that separation avoids buying a receiver while expecting a complete ball-mount package.

Ideal For

  • Owners of a compatible 2" receiver needing this specific adjustment.
  • Buyers choosing a compatible attachment separately.
  • Users who have checked coupling height, pin retention and complete system ratings.
