MagnaFlow 12298 Oval Straight-Through Muffler
MagnaFlow 12298 Oval Straight-Through Muffler — MyTruckPoint SKU FBHB_12298.
Select this stainless steel performance muffler by pipe layout and available space for a custom exhaust installation.
Product Description
MagnaFlow 12298 is an oval, straight-through muffler component with a 5 × 8 × 18-inch body. The 3-inch connection layout must be checked against the existing or planned pipework before a custom exhaust installation.
The manufacturer describes stainless-steel construction and a satin finish. It is a muffler, not a packaged vehicle-specific exhaust system; the installer must select connecting pipes, supports and joining hardware appropriate to the actual layout.
Features & Benefits
- Straight-through perforated core.
- Stainless steel mesh and acoustic fill.
- Universal reversible installation layout.
Compatibility & Applications
- Match connection count, pipe alignment and complete installed envelope to your system. Universal fit does not mean an unmodified bolt-on replacement.
- Send MyTruckPoint the relevant vehicle or equipment details, existing part number and installation requirements if you need help checking the application.

Key Points & Helpful Resources
- Measure available body clearance and check the outlet routing.
- Select supporting hardware and pipework for the actual installation.
Why Choose This Product?
The body size and centre-inlet, dual-outlet configuration make this part a defined option for a custom exhaust build. Comparing those measurements with installation space helps distinguish it from other MagnaFlow mufflers that look similar but route pipes differently.
Ideal For
- Custom exhaust builds needing this oval body size.
- Projects requiring the specified 3-inch connection layout.
