ODYSSEY ODP-AGM35 Performance Series Group 35 Battery

ODP-AGM35 is a 12V Group 35 AGM battery using ODYSSEY Thin Plate Pure Lead technology for engine starting and accessory cycling in approved applications. The current manufacturer record rates it at 765 CCA and 59Ah at the 20-hour rate.

The manufacturer also identifies this battery as 35-PC1400. Match the vehicle's battery requirements, tray, hold-down, terminal arrangement and charging system before selecting it; a Group 35 label does not make every installation interchangeable.

Q: Is its CCA 675 or 765?

A: The current ODYSSEY product page specifies 765 CCA. Older catalog references may show 675; this description uses the current manufacturer rating.

Q: Is 1200A the cold-cranking rating?

A: No. 1200A is the five-second pulse hot-cranking figure. The separate cold-cranking rating is 765A.

Q: Does 59Ah mean it always runs accessories for 59 hours?

A: No. 59Ah is the nominal capacity measured at the 20-hour rate. Runtime varies with the load, temperature, battery condition and acceptable depth of discharge.

Q: Will every Group 35 vehicle accept it?

A: Check the exact application, terminal orientation, hold-down and dimensions. Overall terminal height and cable reach matter as well as group size.

Q: Can I add water to maintain it?

A: No. This is a sealed valve-regulated AGM battery. Do not open its cover or add electrolyte.

Q: Can I mount it upside down?

A: No. The manufacturer permits alternative side/end orientations for typical starting applications but excludes inverted mounting.

Q: What happens during long storage?

A: Self-discharge and the vehicle's standby electrical loads both matter. Follow the manual for state-of-charge checks, safe disconnection where appropriate and a regulated compatible maintenance charger.

Limited warranty

The June 2026 North American warranty specifies three years for ODP-prefix Performance batteries, subject to purchase eligibility, application, maintenance and other conditions. Normal end-of-life, a merely discharged battery and improper charging are not automatically covered. Read the ODYSSEY general product limited warranty.

  • 5% restocking fee applies if canceled within 30 days.
  • Non-cancellable once shipped from the manufacturer.
  • Refused Deliveries: Refund minus shipping & restocking fees (excludes special orders).
