POR-15 42839 is the red caliper-painting kit with cleaner, metal preparation, rust-preventive coating, caliper paint and applicators. It is for appropriate exterior caliper surfaces—not brake discs, pads, shoes or other braking friction surfaces.
Product Description
This is a preparation-and-coating system, not simply a can of red paint. Cleaning, metal preparation and the rust-preventive base coating are part of the manufacturer’s sequence, with drying and recoat timing that must be followed.
Plan the work around a properly supported vehicle, suitable ventilation and the current product labels. Paint is not a repair for a leaking or damaged brake component; address brake-system faults before cosmetic coating.
